River Ward
River Ward includes over 49,000 residents living in Carleton Heights, Carlington, Central Park, Hunt Club, Quinterra/Riverwood, Ridgemont, Riverside Park and Uplands on the Rideau.
The Ward is the proud home of many festivals and year-round activities, such as such as swimming in the waters of the Rideau River at Mooney’s Bay Beach, biking along paths that can take riders as far as the downtown core and cross-country skiing. Right in the heart of the city, Mooney’s Bay is also the site of the annual HOPE Volleyball Tournament and Dragon Boat Race Festival, the largest festival of its kind in North America.
